Netflix retira series y películas de su plataforma por diversas razones. Una de las principales es el vencimiento de los acuerdos de licencia con los estudios y productoras que poseen los derechos de dichos contenidos.
En algunos casos, los propios creadores de las series y películas deciden no renovar los contratos con Netflix y optan por trasladar sus producciones a otros servicios de streaming o distribuidoras.
Otras razones pueden ser la baja audiencia de un determinado título o la necesidad de hacer espacio en la plataforma para nuevas adquisiciones. En cualquier caso, Netflix busca ofrecer a sus usuarios una selección de contenidos atractivos y de calidad, por lo que la retirada de series y películas es una estrategia necesaria para mantener una oferta fresca y actualizada.
